God this place is dead...

So Im posting nothing again.

I purchased my new muffler! Its a Dynomax Super Turbo oval 2.25" in/out; Center in, Offset out.

I'll be calling around soon to find a place that does cheap mandrel bending, to replicate the rear section tubing from the Thermal canister. I figure that'd be the easiest way to do it w/o prehanging.
I do not want to go to an exhaust shop, but with limited choices, I might have to (just not midas/tuffy/mineke, of course).

I'll be putting a 90* bend on the out tip, as well. The gases can shoot down instead...thought that would be pretty different, and would keep shit off my bumper.

Im really looking forward to getting this done so I can not only look more stock, but be quieter as well.

Lets see...what else. Oh yeah...

I had got a nail in my tire yesterday too. Belle Tire removed it for free! That was neat.

I put on the new Denso O2 sensor, its great quality. Perfect fit.
I bought it from www.sparkplugs.com - no store around me sells denso anything; Im not about to use another bosch unit (have before...hated it the whole time)
(If anyone needs a used bosch sensor, I'll be selling it for $2. Oem o2 sensor plug also up for grabs, if you get a universal sensor in the future)

Umm...OH
I got a new winter project too.
Theres a bit of rust on my rear 1/4 panel wheel well so I'll be sanding that down and repainting w/ simple rustoleum. Those black rubber things (which I bought new ones of) will be covering it anyway, so color doesnt matter (It is black paint though).

Thats all Ive got guys..........

I just want something thats quiet and still decent flow.
When (and at the rate Im going, IF) I boost, I'll put the thermal canister back on for better flow again - the turbo will greatly lower the noise there anyway

Im tired of having to strain to hear my phone in the car, tired of having to turn the radio up, tired of having to talk loudly (slightly more than "inside voices"). Just tired of noise...

well remember that a decent ammount of that noise could be from you intake as well. I know mine is loud as a bastard and whenever i hook up my fliter directly to the TB (for the wet months) it sounds like there's another engine under there....

Hondas aren't the quietst cars on the road (obviously) anyway. Hmm lack of sound deadening material.....

Also, how much do you think the turbo will muffle the exhaust sound?

Oh I know some people talk about how their intake sounds...I dont remember what mine sounds like. One of these days Id also like to regain my stock airbox in conjunction with a sri arm.
After I put the cf hood on, the lack of a rubber seal really lets water and other things in under there, so Id like to at least cover the filter a little. I may think up something else later too.

Ive heard that a turbo can lessen the sound rating by as much as 2Db (thats quite a bit). Of course, it depends on sizing and manifold design as well as down-tube

Edit***
LOL Went out and put the stock box back on!
I cut around 4" off the sri arm to fit the box at the end, and ditched the filter on a shelf. I'll pick up a K&N tomorrow and some 3" dryer ducting @ Ho' Depot to make a cold air pick-up tube for the box.
Im happy with it.
It'll keep the filter clean and it should perform just as well as the sri once the k&n filter + ducting tube are on.

hmm kinda weird. my thermals are quite quiet unless the throttle suddenly changes the angles, then beware. but i'd say remove the interior and use 3-4 coates of undercating on the quarter panel and the trunk floor. that will not only quiet the car down but on the rust belt it will have some other benefits too.
