My Car... its a Highlander, doh
Well here it is... hard to picture I know... Lemme know what u honestly think- and dont tell me to lower it cause I hate the wheel gap as much as anyone else but as of now parents pay insurance but they stop paying if I lower it... damned close-minded fools... hehe oh well... I know its not the greatest platform to modify but I just like being different and original... lemme know what u think...

Ok granted you cant really see much here... basically all there is that u cant see is the high performance wide tires and a dual-outlet stainless steel Magnaflow exhaust system out the rear...
Another issue I'd like to address here and possible in the OT section as well if there is little response here- I would like to be able to submit my ride but am unable to due to the honda/acura decision on the "submit your ride" page... just wondering if someone could include a "toyota" selection or if it is going to be kept striclty honda/acura to go with the websites name. thanks

can i be first to give you props. i think it's cool that you're fixing up a highlander.. i'm a fan of customized suv's and trucks. (my bf's got a tacoma, so i'm a fan of toyota's too) i know what you mean about your parents not letting you lower it, sometimes parents prevent you from going all out on your own car, which sucks. but good work so far. i see in your signature that your thinking of airbag suspension...go for it! i'm getting my air cylinders in july, and i can't wait. i love suv's on bags.. i also think you should do some shaving, and make that thing look nice and smooth maybe bigger rims too. do they make grills for the highlander? i love the way those billet grills look. just my little opinion.

I havent seen any grilles for highlanders around... thought about possibly shaving but then again the back would look so empty and look like a minivan ... would go for bigger rims but I do have speed as a factor and I dont want a ton of rotational mass... thanks for the ideas though, keep em comin

Looks nice overall. Did you paint your calipers? I'm not a big fan of that, but hey, its your car.

Yeah- Calipers are red- looked waaay too bad unpainted with the open rims and silver/black just wasnt looking good so I chose red and I like them much better than they were. Eventually slotted/cross drilled rotors will find their way behind my rims but for now Im loving the red

I'm a big fan of hooking up whatever you have... Just put some love into it and you'll be alright.
I"m an all show no go guy personally .. I think it's a little odd your hooking up a highlander for speed. me personally I would PIMP THAT MOTHER OUT !!!! you need to spend your money on tv's and dvd players, and HUGE chrome rims... and the shave would be good you can always leave the back unshaved, and air bags would be a real good thing.... But it's you money .. so you do it your way.. I won't hate on you !!!

well...I REALLY like this ride. It looks pimpin. IF that's what you want, then by god keep on goin brotha H! but if you want speed...chose the hatch with the turbo...that's what Ivoted for.

im a car person... i'll never have a truck/van/suv cause i don't really like them. your highlander looks alright to me. can't say i'd ever like to have one just like it. but looks ok.
i picked option #2. not bad for SUV keep it going. |

u can shave the door handles and emblems off, just simple stuff for now at least, without having it look like a minivan. so are u just looking to fix this thing up for speed? cause personally i'd go show with it. i mean, if u're thinking speed, forget the airbags, those will add lots of extra weight, plus the ride's not really made to race. |

It looks pretty cool. I think it needs to be dropped desperately, but I know you cant. My parents at first told me not to do anything to my car since they were paying for insurance, but I went ahead and did it anyway. They never said anything.
