LS B18a/b into auto 5th gen civic....

i talked to a local shop in town about doing an auto to manual conversion with an ls motor swap into my auto 92 dx hatchback.....the shop owner said he was willing to do it...he said he has done it at least 9 other times....with all parts and labor he said it would cost around $2500...i was just wondering what are your opinion for this route i'm taking....is $2500 a reasonable price? if someone else has gone this route how much did it cost you?......and i would also like to kno the cost that some of you have spend going with an ls swap into a manual civic...thanks
for any information....its greatly appreciated

$2500 to swap in the motor and the 5spd conversion? seems a bit costly to me. swap shouldnt run more than $800 for the engine and the 5spd conversion shouldnt either. then again, those are prices here in FL. i dont know about kansas.
