do you mean speed limitor?

if so yes and it's in the ecu... not really something you can take out.

otherwise I'm not sure what your asking.

on my eclipse the sensors have a restrictor you pull them out and it adds about 10 horsepower
the honda is a new project and i dont know nothing about them
any info on power mods would be appreciated like the ecu where is it located and how many horses does it produce

what sensor?... there are LOTS of sensors on a car...

the ecu (electical control unit) is your cars computer... it doesn't "produce" any horsepower... it can tell other parts of your car do act differently in order to gleam more hp overall... but not much...

If you want your car to be fast you need a turbo kit supercharger kit or nitrous. that or an engine swap.

If your new to honda's your best bet is to start saving and start reading... read all the posts you can on swaps and forced induction (turbo/super chargers and nitrous).

was/is your eclipse turbo?

for someone who goes 120 and evades police officers after running a stop sign it doesnt surprise me that you have no clue about anything.

Poor oc

oc you really dont know anything about mitsubishis do you.
there is a sensor near the horn called the maf sensor. Take it apart and a small disc is on the inside that is a silencer. But as you probably already know its only on the pre 95 eclipse.

sorry oc I have no reason to bs on subjects or stories to people I dont know.

Not being an a$$ just stating the facts. If you read the thread I said this is a new project. I'm looking to any and all sources.

Thank you anyway for the constructive criticism oc

No there is no maf sensor on a honda... the reason you get power by messing w/ it on a your car is cuz it's turbo... it wouldn't do anything on a na car even if it had one..

I'll change my last post though... if you want to go fast get a pacesetter exhaust and a spiral max... seems to have worked for opak... (sorry... can't help it)

You kinda are already a danger to everyone else on the road so I'd suggest keeping your slow civic slow... with any luck you'll either crash or get your eclipse impounded though.

***did research on the mass air flow sensor mod***

and there was a break down in comunication felt by myself AND other members.. we thought you were implying that you just yanked out sensors, but i will make the assumption that you really had no idea what you were talking about till the end of the thread, because we said we did not understand you midthread... adn at that point you chose NOT to explain it fully.. it was not till much later in the thread that you said ti was the honeycomb on the MAF.... and finaly.. it does not ad 10 hp...

thank you

lol oc you do have a sense of humor. never heard of pacesetter. I'm ordering a tanabe g medalion exhaust for the civic and a aem cold air intake also a centerforce clutch and flywheel a dc sports stainless jdm header and a fluidyne radiator. I think that will add a few horses to my car. If all goes well the next thing I'll get is a turbo and some sacchi rims
Thanks Guys lil93

the 300+ for the fluidyne could be MUCH more well spent unless your planning on going turbo in the long run... even then fluidyne is a little excessive... you can get a dualcore delsol or a integra radiator (eliminates ac condensor). But you should get some more pep out of the I/H/E.

and I was the one cracking on the pacesetter/opak.

hahaha do0d....oc......hit me up on AIM sometime.
i was thinking the exact same shit when i read his post.

you are going to throw on an AEM CAI and a header.....not to mention a JDM header for a B series motor even though an LX has a D series.......and then you are going to get a turbo.
you got money to throw around i guess.....but not the knowhow to figure out what to do with it......

Sure

How about an engine swap do your really think you can get that much horse outta a d17 possible but im not>. I dont like the d17 that much. Now that may not be the right engine either because a street racer owned it before me. Like I said new project I have never messed with honda's before.

But I can promise you that the sources i use are valid

thanks anyway Lil93

you have a 93 civic lx which is probably a D15.....a D17 is out of a 2k1 civic - dont bother.

you can swap in a B16A, B16B, B18B, B18A, B20B/Z, B18C1(5)(R), H22A, blah blah blah......so many routes you could go. hell you could even just swap in a D16Z6 or D16Y8 if you want a sohc vtec motor. so many different options.....

that's funny I totally missed that he was planning a turbo next...

Now the ONLY thing on the list that makes sense is the fluidyne.

Lil93 it is in your best interest to just shutup before you start making less sense. It dosent matter who owned it before. Ill race, and my car sucks. So that means nothing
