7thgen Hazard Lights Button

Can anyone help me out fixing my hazard light button. For some reason at night when my headlights are turned on, the red hazard light button does not glow. My friend 7th gen civic glows at night so you can see where the button is. However he is an ass and wont let me rip his dash to see whats connected underneath. Any advice would be apreciated.

just pull the button and you should see a colored screw (plastic) that would be the bulb.
It should have a white condom on it, so you wont be able to check it visually...only directly by supplying it power on its own.

ok, yeah I see the plastic on the backside, just like anything else in my car that glows red.
The question is, how to replace it, it doesnt look like a bulb, it just looks like a red plastic peice that makes it glow red.

Do I replace the red thing? or what?
