to all of you who have done your own: how hard is it to do? what do i need to do it? can i do it without a lift?

its not hard, the hardest part is getting the bolts on your cat free, but since you have a 99.. i'd just spray some liquid wrench on it about 2 hours before you go to install it. it will bolt right in. not very hard at all.

I did cat back on my civic with just jack stands - a bit of a tight squeeze, but it's a quick & easy job. Take 4thGen's suggestion about the bolts - I went through a couple of drill bits on mine.

if the scres are burnt jus put some water on them. it works better than wd 40 and all those aditives. if it does not work with water it's a lost cause: you need to cut them

well, depends on how much room you think is enough. but you should be fine. i never knew about the water thing, u sure it works better than soaking the bolts?

well, it's in and it looks great - all polished SS. took me about 30-45 min w/ the use of an acetylene torch to heat the nuts.

anyone know where i can get a lifetime supply of earplugs?
