Gas gauge problems

Hey everyone, I have another question for you. This happened before I installed my indiglos, so that's not the problem. Every month or so, I'll be just driving along, and my gas gauge will just drop (way past the e). A few minutes later, the gauge will go back to normal and continue to work correctly for another few weeks. Its not a huge prob, but I was curious as to what could cause it. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I doubt its a faulty sensor, unless they all f*** at the same time.. Which is not really possible..

Or more probably the gauge itself.

Also, maybe in the wiring somewhere along. But i'd go with the gauge. Cause it completely dies.. and the comes back.

That's more or less what I was thinking. Thanks for the reply. I might try to get another gauge from a junkyard someday.
