Which muffler/exhaust..gonna buy soon..

I am going to put on a new muffler this winter but i dont' really know which one to go with. I don't wanna spend over $200 if i can help it. I found a muffler for like $150 that iw as just gonna buy and have them put it on in place of my cheapy $30 glasspack muffler. Would that be alright or should i get new piping (like 2.25") from the front of my car to the muffler? what shall i do all?

you need new piping to see an improvement in power. i wouldn't go over 2" ID for the piping.

Why 2"? I've always heard 2.25" is best and 2.5" will be ok for NA applications...

Yeah definatly get the whole piping. With just a muffler your just make your car loud. With the full piping you wont get as much of a raspy not good sounding sound. Plus youll get performance.

Hmm I got my whole exhaust system for $300 bucks. I did not want to buy just a exhaust so I went for the full system. I say it was worth it
