when is camber necessary?

how many inches drop is it until a camber is needed? or does it really just depend on the weight of ur kar?...i herad 2"....i herad 1.5"...? anyone?

it all depends on the car. if it's an older car even with a smaller drop will require a camber. if u drop it take it to the alignament shop and have them decide if u need it or not.

Just to straighten things out. Camber is the angle of the wheel off of perfectly vertical. A camber kit is what you'll need to correct the negative camber that results from a drop.

I would say a 2.0 drop is when you need a chamber kit. I have a 1.5 drop on my car and when I went for my alignment the guy said my angle was about .5 degrees off. Anything more would need it, so I didn’t need to get a chamber for my car.
