Arrow Video Card --- help me chose!

I'll be getting a new computer soon, but I'm not sure which video card or even which chipset to go with..

Futur system:
AMD64 3000
GA-K8NS Pro MOBO
2 x 512 DDR 3200

I'm not an intense gamer.

I want to spend around 100$ for the card..

SO what should I go with?

NVidia 5200 or a low end Ati card.

in quickly reading about budget cards, he's right. It seems your best bet is an nvidia 5200 Ultra. ATI's 9200 or 9600 would do you well also.

I would pick the nividia, no question. I've had a fantastic experience with all of nvidia's products. ATI's drivers still suck (though they've tried to make improvements) If you look through technical forums, you'll find tons of people having conflicts with an ATI product and sound cards. (crappy drivers).

A friend of mine was crashing every two minutes when trying to play call of duty. I asked him what card he has: ATI. I sked him When was the last time you updated your drivers? Answer: "Uhhhh...." After he updated, no more crashing.

Running old drivers with my nvidia gave no problems. That says a lot about which company makes a better product and knows what they are doing.
