I'm sure I know the difference between the dx. lx, & ex and I think I know the si (ex w/dohc vtec 1.6 coupe/hatch only) but whats the difference in the cx, vx, etc from the above stated packages

cx is bottom of the line and has the bare minimum
vx is the gas saver model and is pre-wired for vtec (no one is really sure why...)...also comes with a neat little panel for the rear bumper (wind diffuser) so air doesnt get trapped there and create drag.

With the cx you don't get power steering, and the dx you do, also on older models the cx doesn't have side molding. I think on the vx model it only runs on 2 valves under 80(km/h) or so and on four valves at higher speeds.

The VX has VTEC! Its called VTEC-E. Its for emissions and fuel mileage. I dont remember the HP it comes with but its not very much. The best thing about the VX is the 5th gen car weight is 2108 pounds. THe CX weights 2120 respectively for that generation. Other cars are as follows,

92-95
-CX is a hatchback. It is a D15B7, 8 valve engine, makes 70 HP.
-Si is also a hatchback. It has the D16Z6, 16 valve, SOHC VTEC, 126 HP.
-EX is a coupe. D16Z6. 16 valve, SOHC VTEC, 126 HP

96-01
-CX is a hatchback. It is a D16y7, 16 valve, 105 HP (I think anyways).
-EX is a coupe. same as above.
-Si was restarted in 00 (I think). B16, 160 HP, DOHC VTEC.

Obviously there are differences in models from one generation to another. (I just pulled this stuff off the top of my head, if u want more info u can search as well as I can)
