How to tell ECU

ok this sucks ass I just bought this ecu off ebay and its so not the right one its almost, twice the size as mine and it also looks old, I need a 00 civic ex manual ecu and I have a 00 civic ex auto ecu in my car and the one I bought was suposted to be a 00 civic ex manual
look at these pictures
Mine looks excatly like this, and reads 37820-P2P-A92 and its made by IPT and it also says 6E in big letters

what the asshole sent me, it reads 37820-P2P-335 and its made by Denshigiken and the big letters are N2

can some one tell me what the numbers are for a 00 civic ex manual and what the hell did this ass just sent me???

ok i did some research I think a 99-00 civic ex manual are identical and it reads 37820-P2P-A12 and its made by IPT (smaller ecu) can someone verify this

and I think the bigger ecu is for a eg 92-95 civic can someone verify this also
Im not 100% sure on this though

p2p is d16y8 - That is the only set of digits that matters, when ID'ing a honda ecu

Whether its obd2 a or b, that depends on the pinouts:

This is obd2b, and is what you want for 99-00

There are no "D" section pins

This is obd2a (96-98)

There are no "B" section pins

Compare to yours

(Physical size isnt an identifier)
92-95 civic ex is p28

What does it matter who made it?
If they said its a B and you got an A, tell them to refund your money and they have to pay for its return shipping.

Ok, It doesnt matter who made it.
All you need to know is that its an obd2a p2p...and thats not what you paid for

Because its p2p
Like I said, that is the identifier digit set
dx is p2e
hx is p2n

It will fit in your brothers car, yes, but I dont see why you'd bother putting it in, unless your bro's ecu is fried

I have a P2P ECU for sale. Came off my 99 civic EX 5-speed. Yes, it's OBD2b. Let me know. I'll sell it to you for a decent price.

It will plug straight up. The only way that this ECU will fail your smog test is if you manipulate the fuel curve using other means. It's completely stock man... LMK
