Exclamation Disaster!!!!

Well disaster has struck! I was selling my cherry RX7 to a guy I know. No problem right...I thought it was Bye Bye Rotary..oh noooooo. This cat casnnot come up with the rest of the money so i have to get my car back today(done) and try again to sell it so i can buy my civic and mods! What a let down. I have been stalling this mint civic owner for a friggin week waiting on this moron to come through with the cash....One good thing is I am glad I did not order my turbo like I was gonna do last night! I would be in a world of crap when they debited my check card and then i would be broke till my car sells. Just had to vent this misery. Hopefully it will sell this coming week, I put a big ad in the Auto Classifieds.
I WILL have my turbo civic soon though

-derek---still driving the rotary wanting pistons!!!!

No it is not a turbo. Turbo rotaries are more trouble than they are worth. You litterally must have an insane relationship with your car if you drive a boosted rotary, cause you will be jacking with it all the time and not to have fun, but to keep it running. Only in the world of RX7s will you hear someone say "I am only on my 2nd or 3rd engine for my Turbo7"...and they will sound GLAD!
I had a turbo car a few years back and liked it...it had pistons which meant I could work on it. Rotaries have 3 moving parts..something goes bad in the slightest way with one of the 3... and you get to do an engine rebuild and it aint cheap. So if anyone is in the Dallas area and wants a clean clean RX7 for cheap(GTU model with 4:30 rearend) email me...

Yeah I know what you mean.. I know a guy thats gone through several of them.. I was wanting to get some like an old Supra, or 300Z turbo just to have some fun. I pondered the Turbo7, but the thought of an older Rotary doesnt give me a good feeling in any way. Oh well. Good luck selling your car hope you do it sooner then later, so you can get your turbo.

As of midnight no. i did place an ad today in the Dallas Morning News Classifieds. I sold cars for a good while so I think I wrote the ad catchy enough.
Whenever I see a 7 in the paper here in dallas, it never ;asts more than a week or so. I also searched Autotrader online. I found a grand total of 11 yes....ELEVEN RX7s from 1988-1991 within 200 miles of my zip code. People want these cars so i am sure it will sell pretty quick.
As for the jerky rat that THOUGHT he was getting my car...well let us say he figured it out that he is on my hit list. Word to the wise(I evidently must learn EVERYTHING the hard way) do not let someone drive your rig without all the cash in hand.
In any event, I wil keep all posted as soon as know more.

And a final note, my girlfriend was driving me home in my 7 (too much wine for me) anyway, we are on this civics tale and I say get him! she pulls up turning about 6500-7000rpm in 2nd and lauches on this sucka..nuff said as he was a speck with lights in about 10 seconds...so my girl got her 1st kill. Then she grilled me on wherew to get speed parts for her Accord(99LX 2 door) too much fun!

Have a good one all!

This may seem ironic.. When we go out, we usuall take her car..
For theft prevention reasons.. My car has more goodies on it..

Obviously when we're together, I drive..

Here's what the car is about :

30v twin turbo V6

Horsepower (SAE net) 250 @ 5800 rpm
Torque 258 lbs.ft. @ 1850 rpm
Top track speed 155 mph
Transmission : Type 6-speed manual

She runs fast!

They are so over looked... You can get 500 HP out of them pretty easily..

LOL

Ya I guess. That would be insane though..

Having 6 gears to shift thru is quiet amusing!

But the engine doesnt wind very high.. Doesnt need to either..

I think I prefered the S2000, 6speed, wind up like a bike..
