OK Anyone that has a DC Sports cat back, can you tell me why mine sticks out so far? Here are pics of all the connections and hangers.

Some exhaust are just made like that.. I wouldnt worry about it unless you dont like it.. You could just have a little taken out of the pipe after the muffler..

You cant hardle see mine at all..

Well, it looks okay to me...

Sometimes they make these aftermarket products to fit a bunch of different vehicles. You'll appreciate the extra length in case you ever decide to go with a different rear skin.

My '00 HX Tenzo R muff is actually made for a '96/'98 EX, but that's what Tenzo said it uses; my dealer double-checked on the phone while I was standing there...

Looks pretty tight IMO...

Check and see if the part number for your cat-back crosses over to different models.

looks like the section inbetween the tip and muffler itself is too long, if it bothers u that much, cut off a section and reweld the tip to the muffler.

i heard the dc double pass ways like, 90 lb.s
this means it makes your power to weight ration the same as when u started.

woah shit my exhaust isn't even close to 90 lbs. mines not a double pass, i believe a double pass is where it loops back into the muffler to keep the backpressure like the mugen twin loop

For some reasons dc exhaust stick out a little more. I know on 4th gen civics if you get the wings west body kit the dc exhaust looks nice since it does not stick out as far.

I think that it looks fine...the only thing that might be a little long is that tip connecting pipe. besides that you definitly have room if you get a new rear bumper or lip...

You sure its DC? Looks like a copy. The DC Sports I've seen are flush with the rear fender. Check out
http://www.dcsports.com/CB.html

It shows some small pics as well.

That lower lip wouldn't make that much difference.

yea it's got the logo on the tip you can see in the pic above that even with the rear lower lip spoiler it sticks out some.

after some intense research i've found out it's supposed to stick out

the lower lips add about 1" off the back of the bumper where it would "look" slighty different

I got the DC Sports exhaust on my 97 civic. I don't think mine sticks out far enough. You can't even read the laser etched logo on the tip.

Comparing your exhaust to mine, it seems that the pipe going from the muffler to the tip is a little long.

Who cars though. I think no one would notice.

good luck,

aj
