sound deadenign material

underneat the seats and trunk carpet, there is like little sections of matt and it is adheared to the metal of the car with like a tar substance... easy way to remove it, without ****ing up the underlying metal too much??

heating it up..

There are some products you can use, but I absolutely hate the lingering smell it leaves.. The heated tar smell goes away rather quickly.

just use a heat gun???
and it IS tar??? what a pain in the ass.. you think heating it up will not mess up the metal underneath that much?

nah, it takes a lot to bend the metal from the heat, and i don't see how a heat gun will do that.

I would recomend freeze spray.. or dry ice.. once it's frozen good it shoud come of with a hard rubber spatula...

that's how a friend of mine ended up doing it.. he started out trying to scrape then heat (hair dryer) then his buddy told him about dry ice... he said he did the last half in less than half the time it took him to do the first.

that was a vw though.

its liquid propane...get it at home depot (comes in cans the size of WD-30)...its pretty cool stuff...really used for getting gum off floors but use enough of it and it will remove anything

Ya dude call Arnold and tell him to break out the "Mr Freeze" gun.

Yes it's real I don't know where you can get it though Home depot Probobly... it's for removing wax and gum stuck in carpet.

janitors use it... I used to work afterschool as a janitor and that shit will instantly freeze just about anything.

here: http://www.brulin.com/cgi-bin/brulin...e&ProductID=47

that's a site that markets it I don't know if it's available per can here though that should get you headed in the right direction

it works awesome...trust me...I use it almost every time I go to work (custodian) and it gets ANYTHING that has sticky stuff on it off whatever in just a few seconds (even duct tape)

I used to paintball back in the day.... I had a PGP all modded to hell. it was before/right when constant air tanks came out. Mine had a quick swap for co2 canisters.

Ive always wanted to do paintball but I never found a good place to do it. The local arena costs like $40 for 3hrs and thats too damn rich for me. I did go once w/ some friends on an island at night though...that was badass shit...there was no escape
