extended warranty?
I bought my 99 accord 4cyl with just over 71k miles. FIRST thing I did was do tranny fluid change, but was offered a 2yr 24k powertrain for just over $800.
Is a powertrain extended warranty worth it considering the costs of another tranny? Cos I'm sure my alternative would be more $$$...I just hate (and have done) buying a warranty and not being able to use it with my previous dodge stratus. |

it's one of those things you kinda need to weigh out..In one hand it's great if you have a problem in the covered period you can just get it replaced no biggie. On the other hand if you just drive the car regular don't rip and tear on it and all I would think you could be safe and not have to worry about it.
Also if you can do the mechanical work yourself then that can also factor in. As you could get a deal on a tranny then install yourself and that save you alot fo cash etc... Just my $.02 on it and insight.. |

my dealer offered it to me, and to this day i am not sorry for the extra 1500 i spent on it. i had a bumper to bumper warranty on the car. i think i had a key platinum.
