originated a yr ago moving logs at my cabin.
This yr it happened again because I didnt exhale while lifting last night - put too much pressure on the lift and popped it out, since the ligament was already stretched.

Ive been to chiropractors for it and they just wanna put me on a 10month plan for my lumbar. Then I go 3 times/week for a massage. I hate chiropractors...

yeah...its called "rib subluxation"
Dr's have a special tool (reverse slide-hammer) specifically for it too....I just dont have health insurance until january because Im only taking 8credit hrs this term.

If I take it easy for a few days it'll go back in on its own...it just hurts like hell today.

Well there's your problem...when you get insurance, hit up a REAL doctor. Hehe. And yeah dude...subluxation is a huge pain in the ass. My jaw tends to sublux if I yawn too much...it hurts like hell to pop it back into place too. There really isn't a whole lot they can do for your ribs, though besides the tool you mentioned. Ribs suck. When was the last time a rib did anything for you?

No doubt. Chiropractors...pfff First time it happend a real Doc told me to see a chiropractor for it, since it couldnt be fixed in 1 sitting. Id rather have surgery and be totally immobile for a week than go in 120 times for nothing.

Actually, this one time, about 9 yrs ago, this kid threw a book at his friend in class (we're talking full size math text book), missed, and it flew right into my ribs at top speed. That was the only time a rib did anything for me. And all they did after that was hurt from bruising. Lazy bastards.

This is the 2nd part of my body thats done this; Ive done it to my right clavicle too. Also a perma-fu*ked part. It always makes noise when I move my arm.

WOW...odd how I know exactly what that feels like! I broke three ribs off my sterum and broke them about two inches over...so I had what is called floating ribs..they weren't attached just by muscle...

l------------------------l
l------------------------l
l------------------------l
l------------------------l

Now pretend those are ribs in there...and you have this square of three ribs in your chest just sitting there.. broken...doing nothing but causing immense pain.....i got hit from behind in hockey..fucking hurt....

Poor Pat,

no wonder he PMs me wanting to be my slave.

On a more serious note, if it makes you feel any better, I tore my ACL playing soccer 2 years ago and earlier this summer my bioabsorbable screw went out of place and my reconstructed ligament is still having problems healing.

I was gonna offer to be gimps together, to rest..and lay in bed together.

I hope ya get better!

Every once in a while my shoulder pops out if I sleep on my side too long. I usually just have a friend pull on my arm while I hold on to something solid to pop it back into place. I also have what's called "pluresy" or something like that affects the lining between your ribs and your lungs and feels like your lungs stick to your ribs in spots and you can only breathe a certain way but I don't have to be sick to get it. It just happens and hurts like a mother. Can't say I've ever broke a rib but you all got my sympathy. I can't even imagne what it feels like to be actually broke instead of sticking together.

Oh now dont tease...thats not funny

I can be your slave again after I heal. 1000 pardons Lyna
-
One of these days I might go in and have the scar tissue cut away. Maybe then it can really heal...

Oh and dont forget, blackwolf, I have pluresy too.

I cant say this is anywhere near as bad as a broken set of ribs. That has to be at least 100x worse. I can still do somethings, just not 100% free movement.

So far, the best thing thats happened from this is the extreme sympathy Ive gotten from the girl Im trying to get with I might have to milk this for awhile "Oh ow...I dont think I can do anything right now...can you come over and read my books to me for school?"

I've never broken any bones...unless your skull counts as a bone.

Man...a 1500lb stallion stepped on my foot one summer I spent on my friend's horse farm. That damn horse just about became glue.
