Removing programs

Is there any way to remove programs besides the "Add/Remove Programs" or the software's uninstall feature? I've got a couple of programs that I can't remove. One has an uninstaller but if says it can't uninstall because "*file name here.dat cannot be found". My add/remove setup won't remove it either. Same for the other program, except it doesn't have an uninstaller feature...the add/remove function just won't work. Any ideas how I can ditch these programs?

Erase the folder for it and then remove the reg keys manually.

Start
Run
Type regedit
Press ok
Reg key for program should be HKEY_local_machine>Software
Reg key for Add/Remove programs list should be: HKEY_local _machine>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Current Version>Uninstall.
It might be encrypted, you might have to click on the alpha-numeric key numbers one by one. (remove the correct one and it won't show in add/remove Programs anymore.

I have some other tricks too, some apps leave installshield hidden files behind too, let me know.

^^ Not bad for someone who's drunk..?

I tried that, but one problem...I can't find it there. I did, however, stumble across a program called Targetsoft. It seems to have a list of a ton of websites that I frequent as well as some pop-up stuff. Is this a safe thing to delete? I can't figure out if it's a tracking cookie or what...but I don't like all the information it's got stored.

I would try AdAware. It works for me and it removes a lot of spyware. Also all the programms u uninstall don't seem to delete the folders and some spyware may be stored in there. SO always go back and remove those. Also when ever i install other programms it seems that something else installs with it so remove all that crap too.

if you're looking under the microsoft keys then it might be a alphanumeric key, otherwise it could be under the name of the developer or publisher if you're just looking under HKEY_L_M > Software.

You can get a program called Advanced Uninstaller Pro. It uninstalls everything, cleans the registry, gets rid of dead links and invalid entries. Email me for more info.

start/run/regedit/
click on edit/find type in any instances of whatever you want to get rid of.

start/find/ type it in there FOR EX. it's counterstrike, type that in like this counterstr*.* then highlight everything you don't want. HOLD down shift right click and delete.... GONE

ALSO download adware removal tools and spyware bot. This will make your pc back to normal running speeds due to all the crap you click on usually porn. SICK bastards.
