How Do I Install An Aftermarket Shift Knob For A 2002 Accord?

HOW DO I INSTALL AN AFTERMARKET SHIFT KNOB FOR A 2002 ACCORD? I tried everything. It won't unscrew by turning it counter clock wise. I tried taking apart the elbow rest area. I can't seem to find any screws near the front though.

Theres no underneath of the shift knob. It's just the shift knob and the shift boot is around it. I can't even pull it apart.

yeah thats what I figured. I tried doing so but I can't seem to find the screws to take apart to do that. I was wondering if anyone else has some sort link to an installation guide that tells me how to take my dash apart.

HAHAHAHAHA!

Sry. But you just have to pull down on the shift boot and the removal becomes clear. Hold the hard part under the knob near the top and pull down.

If you already tried that. Sry. Worked on my '98 though...
