$#!7 I'm smoking too!!!
man i started my car up tonite and the same shit that happened to kaoticivic. smoke started coming out the breather in a steady stream.... kaoticivic... how did u fix your problem and what was the problem!!?!?! my car's been out of commission for almost 2 months cuz of this project and i'm really getting depressed... do u think it could be the seals inside the turbo? someone give me some advice please and thank you.

Did you do a compression test? Check your oil return line and see if the tubing is pinched. If the turbo shaft seal is bad, you'll see oil on the charged pipe....

the charge pipe would be the one going to the intercooler right...? there was oil in that. and i'm pretty sure the return line isnt pinched.

That's the intercooler inlet...but it is still "charged". Since you have oil there, that means your turbo shaft seal went bad. Check the piping between the TB and the IC. If there is oil there, then you have a major seal problem in the turbo..... and if that's the case, your intercooler is filled with oil....

my accord started smoking through the same place when piston rings fried. after replacing them no more smoke. just make sure when you take the engine apart to have your cylinder head checked out ,better yet upgraded so you dont have to take it apart again. might as well get new rods and pistons and rings head gasket etc....
if thats too much for you just swap in a jdm\usdm engine for your car and call it a day. ( i should have done this with the money i spent rebuilding). hey thermal is that what you did with your teg? about the turbo if you cant afford a brand new one just have it rebuilt like i did. they balance it and replace all the little parts you dont see. it will come out like new. good luck |

yea the seals in the turbo are bad
 so i got that bebuild kit... i already cleaned the oil from the intercooller... bleh! |

so the rebuild DID NOT work....
does any0ne hav any idea on what my problem could be, the breather is still venting smoke as is the exhaust.... help me plz!!!! |

welp it was my turbo... :-( gez i'm in the market for a new one if NE1 has one... i need a t3 with that 5 bolt exhaust pattern
