Power Window problem, switch possibly to blame?

I have a 93 Civic Coupe.
I have read the posts on how to make your window glide up and down better, but this isn't relevent to the problem i'm having.
I have power windows, and on the drivers side, when i hit the switch for the window to go down, it goes down. But when i hit the switch for it to go back up, it just sits there, unless i move the switch back and forth, or just hold it. Doing this it eventually goes back up. I'm almost positive its the switch itself, but i'm not totally sure considering that if i hold it it works.

Please help.
Thanks

do you hear any motor sounds, like its trying to work, or is it nothing. If you hear sounds then you've probably got an expensive problem. if no, then its a bad or ittermitent (sp) connection.

nope, no sounds. i went hunting for a switch today, and the only place to get them around here was the dealer. I also asked my autobody dude today, and i guess thats the only place around here that has them.
Get this, 203.95 for a switch from the dealer.

that is unbelievable.
i searched www.car-part.com and one place in my state had one, so i gave them a call. I then found out that the part was for a 4 door civic, not a two door. would it still work? Give me some feedback please. thanks

any switch should work, although I'm not sure what type of switch you need. I would think that it would just be a spst, but not sure.

well i know any should work, but i don't wanna make it look ghetto it needs to look the same as it does now.

i bet i'm gonna lose the luxury of being able to scroll my window all the way down without having to hold the switch down the entire time.
