fuel upgrade...

I was looking to upgrade the fuel components of my ride and I was thinking of goin w/ like an AEM regulator,AEM Filter along w/ an AEM Fuel rail and probably an new fuel pump.

does this sound ok or not? I don;t have a Turbo or anything of that nature I just want to have the adjustability there when I need it and additional upgrades to the engine are done.

Info and feedback would be great.

Thanks for looking...

Im upgrading with a fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, fuel gauge, fuel rail, fuel injectors, fuel filter(high flow), then of course after u get the fuel moving u need somethin to spark it like a msd ignition and coil, spark plugs and wires good one like NGK... the list goes on and on. i hope the mindless rambling was of some help

remember that if you upgradeyour injectors you are going to need some kind of fuel controller such as the apexi or hks unit. Otherwise you are going to be running way rich all the time.

Yes it did make sense and I understood all of the rambling...

I already have the NGK Platinum Plus plugs or whaever and the Accel 8mm wires.

well rich is better than lean but I would already have it controlled by the regulator. Unless theres something additional the Apexi or HKS controller will do w/ it....

I believe he's referring to the Apex'i AFC, not a FPR.

a fuel pressure regulatr will not do jack to control bigger injectors you will need something like the apexi afc or the hks afr.

It's going to be useless until you have the air flow to necessitate it.

not really, you will benefit with few mods, plus you have to have it when you upgrade your injectors or your car is going to run like shit.

r u telling us in order to run bigger injectors like 310cc then we have to buy a $450 piece of equipment, we cant just upgrade the whole fuel system and use a FPR to increase the flow needed for the bigger injectors??????

I'm kinda w/ you on that max....
I mean you are regulating the amount of fuel the injectors, thus the same thing the Apexi would do...adjust the flow..

Or is this amis conception a lot of people have??

we're right, they're wrong.....end of story. we rock! nah for real, the apexi also is able to mess with the Vtec and other parts of the engine as well as fuel control. the FPR will allow u to up the fuel pressure if it run lean and lower it if it runs rich. having somethin like a Air to fuel ratio gauge and a fuel pressure gauge will helpl.
