Spark Plugs Question.

What's up everybody?

I have a quick question regarding aftermarket spark plugs. I have a '99 Civix EX Coupe. Couple of months ago, I decided to remove perfectly o.k. stock NKG plugs and install Bosh Platinum +4 plugs instead. I have not noticed any difference in performance. I have to mention that the only mods I have on my car are AEM Intake and OBX Racing cat-back.

Well, yesterday, a Honda mechanic who has a nice slammed hatch Civic himself told me that these plugs were not designed for my engine and they are hindering its performance. He told me to go back to stock NKG's. I am kinda glad that I didn't buy into the hype with the new kind of Iridium spark plugs available on the market. Denso ones cost about $17 a piece and they alone will not make anymore power it seems.

What do you guys think?

He is exactly right. The Bosch +4s are bad for our Japanese cars. That aside, the Denso plugs are not bad, but are very expensive.
