94 civic transmission and fuel injectors question

I am currently rebuilding a 1994 Honda Civic EX with a manual transmission.I have had the block and heads remachined and replace the stock cam with a Gude Performance cam(including the a bullfrog computer). The stock transmision has a grinding problem going into 5th gear. Will i loose a lot of performance by swapping the stock Ex transmission with a stock LX model transmission?

With the engine set up above do any of you think performance fuel injectors will make a major differance in performance?

Yes you'll lose "performance" by swapping the trannies, since the Lx tranny has different gearing which will result in slower acceleration.

For the injectors question: All you need is a adjustable FPR with a guage so you can increase the fuel pressure above stock(resulting in more fuel being delivered). So you dont need aftermarket injectors.

Thank you very much for your help with the transmission question. How much loss of accleration do you think this will cause.I mean a real lot or barelly noticeable.

Thanks again

From what I'm seeing its going to be quite a bit. You could fix it by swapping out the Final drive but that'll require going into the tranny, which you're probably trying to avoid. So if perfromace is key then swapping to the LX tranny is a step backwards.
Hope this helps.
