Clutch & Gearbox Problem

My clutch is almost to the floor on my 91 Honda Accord LX. This happened on Wednesday. Was about to have it fixed today and now I cannot change gears- have to drive in 2. A right pain!!! Any help would be appreciated. Any ideas / similiar problems that people have had?

Thanks,

Joe

from what you said the clutch is out. most likely you need a new one. try shifting at around 2500 rpms and that shouldn't require theuse of the clutch.

If it catches at the floor all of a sudden, check the master/slave cylinders for leaks.

To see if your clutch is going out, stop, put it in 5th gear, rev to 3k and pop the clutch. If you stall, clutch is ok most likely. If it just revs, its slipping like mad.
