I F****** Hate Hospitals.

Well the day came today when the GF had to go to the hospital to be induced. (and the wi-fi here sucks.) she said she will castraite me if i leave her side when she's out of labor (they won't let me in the delivery room for insurance reasons (her sister is her birhting coach which means i don't have to be there). so i will be in and out of here for a few weeks, rediscovering myself as a father. i will post up any pics that she will let me take(of the baby you sicko's!) and the birth notice. well off to go find out what food i can get, and see if i can see any real horrible accident victims or shit like that, have to stay sane you know.

i was stuck in our UCF health center for an hour and a half the other day dealing with my goddamn broke thumb and i just hate when they sit you in a room, wait 10 mins talk to you for 2 mins then move you to another room and do it again 3 or 4 more times

Insurance reasons? What the fuck does that mean? Men have been hanging out in delivery rooms for hundreds of years. Then again...if I actually saw a baby being born I wouldn't ever want to have sex again. Maybe the insurance thing is so you don't need a script for Viagra.

Congrats anyway man. Kids aren't for me, but some people seem to like them.

well, were back from the hospital.
(the doctors had her under observation and came to a conlusion that she has at least another week, which is what some of the complications of the natural birth were)
So i took a vacation form work for two weeks, and promissed her i would be there when she is awake and responsful, only after i did somethings for my parents:(ie: move out the rest of my stuff thats at thier house, and our stuff at her place to our new home(renting it from a friend of the family's, its a four bedroom house and a two car garage that extends half way up the second story, all for 450 a month) all of which she doesn't know about).
Also she doesn't know that i got a second job working in a service shop (owned by the guy the renting me the house). He promissed 50 hours a week (not all the hours are shop related, i also get to test drive customer vehicles, parts pick up, shop organization and computor integration(we do a lot of contract work for a company called Harris who does govt contract vehiles with navigation and communication equipment))
He said that he will pay me basically a salary of 1250 a week and have shop managerial responsabilities. the hours are from 4:30 A.M. (he said i don't really have to be there until 7, but pay would start at 4:30) and untill i feel like im not needed. which means i will be home when she goes to work so i can watch over Hannah (its a girl by the way, the baby of course).
all the money earned in 12-18 months is going into a savings account, where half is left in Hannah's name for when she turns 18,and the other half, well the other half will be spent on renovating the house (it was built in the 60's) when that goal is accomplished, im leaving my first job (restaurant work) and possibly taking over a bay at the shop for in car entertainment purposes(my expertise). well sorry to bore you but i have had an eventfull couple of days, and only more eventfull days to come. /end novel pt.1

Good luck man. I think you may need to rethink the 2 jobs thing. You're going to need to be there for a while until she gets things rolling. Plus, why keep the restaurant job? 1250/week is pretty goos salary.

That makes no sense to me either. I was with my wife's friend (wife was there too of course) right up to the point. I chose to leave. Weird.

well i did pop the question a few months ago, and she said yes, but we are not planning on getting married for at least a yr or two. I work only 18 hrs at the restaurant and its on the weekends (7.15 an hr plus tips) so im bringing in close to 400 a night (wine steward, tips are considered nightly bar tip out, and 20% of all bottles sold so im keeping the job for fun.)

the insurance thing is because lately a lot of people have been getting in the way, passing out, and also it falls under the docter patient confidentiallity act thing. thats what they told me, plus i think it might be that were not married either, but like steve siad, i dont want to be in there.

I wont want to see the damage being done to my wife when we want to have kids, I completely understand.

As for the marriage, way to go buddy. Best to wait until she's a little slimmer for the wedding photos too :P

Yeah I dont think I'd want to see that area, but I'd like to be present.

Don't rush on the marriage thing. Take your time and do it when you're both ready. Believe it or not there are couples that have been together many years, have children and still aren't married. Though in today's world alot of people frown on it.

I think in the long run its better for the childern. It brings an added level of commitmet to the relationship.

Pretty sure I don't need a piece of paper saying I'm with someone. If you're not commited just because you're not married there's a problem.
