Driving in snow

Well me and a mate went out this morning to chew up the roads of T.O. and it was amazing. Both of us got my car to do real donuts, yes in my fwd rl. I first was able to it by cranking the wheel and hitting the hand break, and which point i brought the revs in 2nd gear to 3500 and pushed the wheel to the end of a rotation. She just kept going round and round... for what seemed for ever, until we started to drift towards an object at which point i popped the break and corrected myself out of the spining.

It was arguably the coolest thing i've done in snow recently. I should have brought a camera to take pictures so instead i let Robert (firstgeardude) go around a bit while i was out side the car watching.. very cool.

Now my tank had less then 15L left in her so that might have made things work out better because i've never been able to do it before.

But cheers for the great weather in t.o. Drive safely everyone!

I left work last night and to my surprise, the roads were covered w/ snow. It would have been no problem w/ the civic but I drove the 91 GT 5.0. I was all over the place just hoping not to wreck. It was fun though.

That sounds awesome, but I know if I ever tried something like that I would wind up wrapping my car around a light post or something.

Yeah, I know where you do it. And you know what? In a large, empty parking lot, I would still wind up wearing a light post. That's just my luck.

well the first one i went to was a small one, i guess it all depends on how well you can handle your car..

my main concern in large parking lots are the little concrete islands that sometimes you cant see if there is too much snow in the lot... running over one of those would seriously screw up your wheel allignment

i have seen some bad things happen cuz of donuts , i work at a place that does tires and aligments have u ever seen what hitting a parking stop thing at 20 mph in reverse in a crx looks like. that thing was so far out of aligment it was sick. tore everything up underneath to. i just stick to plowing snow with my lowered civic.
