To quote somebody off of AIM (in reference to honduhs):

RainbowBrite6484: Yeah...who spends 20,000 on just modifications and the car is still heavy and slow

AND SHE'S A CHICK AND KNOWS WHAT'S SUP.

Wtf...ok that has nothing to do w/ anything what so ever...if you’re going to be an ass...just f*ck off. Oh, and if you’re saying that civics are heavy...you’ve obviously have never even seen one...so you and your oblivious friend clearly don’t "know whats sup"...which isn’t phonetically correct anyways

it all depends on how good of a job they do. i never heard any specific numbers, but keep in mind that the job is gonna cost a lot more than port and polish. if u remove the head make sure you get a better cam and some other head goodies

Believe me when I say it Honda knows what they're doing. If you are going to get the port and polish done just have them port match the intake mani to the head and the exhaust mani to the head. Honda heads are very high flow. Regarding the came stick with the stock one and get a vtec controller. To much valve overlap can cause a lot of headaches. The only cams I recommend are Skunk2, reason being is because they try to match the manufacturing process that honda has. I think they are coming out with a turbo friendly cam soon. I'd also recommed spoon cams and mugen ones but i don't think they make turbo friendly SOHC cams.

Just a lil reference a friend of mine and myself put togther a d16z6 w/ 9.0:1 comp pistons and rods in a stock block w/ a blockgaurd and have run low 13's to high 12 sec 1/4mile time @ 5psi boost. All this under 6000.00 including the car (94 honda civic ex) Skip the greedy kit put it together yourself a lil research and some know how with proper tuning go along way.

The times are consistent though on a flat surface and they let you know if your mods made an improvement. The hp readings are very hard to get.
