is it worth it

to hook up my stock engine in my 97 civic or save my money until I can get a new motor or start on the out side and work in thanks

hoiw realistic is the thought of a swap.. can you REALLY afford it??

if not get a d16y8 head, bolt ons and a small shot, and it should be decently quick...

how much miles does ur motor have right now? if its up there..then a swap would probably suit you better, if not, why waste a perfectly good engine? an EX head swap that oc mentioned should be your first step..that is if you keep your current powerplant... don't forget that money is an issue also.

there's a lot of "head" to be found on ebay .. i believe it is also called a "mini me" swap..

are you planning on goin' forced induction with your car? if you are then i'd save up for a new motor, since rebuilding an older motor would not be as "cost-effective" compared to an engine swap..

you could put a older si (92- series) head on..but not a 99-00 head because its dohc
