Engine Swap

I don't really know much about jdm motors but I have a ZC in my 92 hb but I want a B18 or B16. For right now I just want to get a used one because I can't afford 2500+ at the moment for new. Probably not for a while because of school. But anyways I was looking on the net and I read that a 98-01 Acura Integra Type R comes stock with a b18C5. Is this true and if so can I swap it into my civic without getting mounts?

The only thing I know is that, yes, the ITR's engine code is B18C5.. B18C1 is GSR and B18b1 is LS.. as far as I know.. Could be wrong though

All integra Type R's have the B18c5 (american one's at least).

Yes you can swap it into your civic. But you'll need the same mounts from that engine as you would with any other b...

I can't remember which ones they are... I think its the driver's side upper mount and the rear mount bracket or something...

But yes that engine will fit.

Any B swap you do you'll need a couple mounts. Rear bracket and driver mount from an integra. I do have an integra driver mount that I cant use (ek supposed to use em1) and I'll sell it for cheap if you decide you're really doing this.

All engines are going to be used though - its the usdm engines that tend to be cheaper. IE - I got my bottom end for $100.
My best advice is to shop around, call junk yards, etc to get the best price.
Do some reading to find out what else you need to do for a swap - tons of info out there.

^yup^

never rush into it. the word "complete swap" does not mean "drop and go". There are other things to consider. Some may require minor wiring modification as well. Do it once and you'll learn a lot..............
