i think 17's are good enough. if the rim is too big the ride quality might suffer. what is your stock tire size ?

My advice is to get smaller rims. They weigh less, cost less, and perform better. I have 15in Koseis on my car that look a lot better than 17's.

yeah, unfortunately i would say with the 6th gens, you might have to go with 18's. with my 5th gen, its different, but the design is just so different. if you wanna fill in the wheel well, go with 18s

and B the Turbo Pimp: i dont really think he's going for performance. however, i noticed you have a 94 accord,as do i. i also noticed the mention of "Turbo" in your name. are you just decieving me or do you have a fast accord. i get excited when such a phenomenon happens, as accords are normally used as show cars.

ok i have 02 Accord sedan and i am going for both perfomance and beauty. So should i go with 18's or 17's? 18 size tires and rims or 18 size tires and 17'' rims? Right now everything is shitty stock! Plus I was thinking about droppin like 1-1 1/2''. Can I ask all u smart guys/chicks out there a question? How the HELL do you know all this stuff? Books, magazines, TV, class? I want to learn about it all- performance and cosmetics. So gimmie some input here...so I wont ask stupid questions anymore...well maybe.

Well you know the accords where never meant to be speed demons. So unless you crazy like me and are planning on turboing the f series engine in a few years Id wouldnt worry about speed as much. I think the 18s would be a better choice than 17s on your gen. 18s are really sweet and would make your car stand out.

As for knowing stuff. Well there are tons of sites that you can go to to learn stuff and there are books as well. I have this one called Honda/Acura Peformance. How to modify d,b,h. series for street and drag racing performance. Its great explains everything you want to know about anything.

I got mine at Books a million.

About teh turbo well how many people you know running a turbo on their F series. Well I dont think its crazy. The F engine can handle boost like a mofo. Its just most people think its crazy and are like just swap it with a h22a.

Accords can be quick cars at a road course or autoX.

yeah, 17's will definitely look good, im just saying 17's are not gonna look as big on your accord as they would on many other sport compacts.
these are new....but i digress...

Dunno what you mean about getting 18 size tires with 17" wheels....

Anyhow, as far as learning, you can learn about the basics of engine mechanics and what goes into performance from reading books or car magazines. A book will give you the gist quickly, mags will take a while to compound but will go more into detail on specific products and companies, unlike a book. You can also pick up a good amount of knowledge just from talking to people who know a thing or two about it.....that's where HS comes in handy.
