Anyway.. Lets try to stay on topic here.. Which is why Highlander thinks Hondas are a waste of money..

The thing he seems to be missing here is the fact that most people that buy hondas to mod dont buy the car and drop $30K in the car on the same day. Its a gradual buildup, that takes time. I agree with the other guys that said, "you will never have the fastest anything..." There will always be someone that has more money, knowledge, etc. to build something better. Just have fun with what you have. Whether it be a civic, or a 355 Spyder. Because at the end of the day, its not what you drive that matters its how you drive it.

Dude, I didn't mean to come off as I hate civics. They're nice cars. I actually love the 98-2000 civics. They look really classy. I'm still considering on buying one as a next econocar. Personally, I just don't think they are worth spending a lot of money on. Of course if I'd buy one, I'd mod it, but I wouldn't try to make it what it's not made to be. Again this is my opinion.

And on the biker aspect, he doesn't go looking for it. He gets it from another message board that we both visit and just posts here. So dont' go off flaming him either. Because what's interesting is you don't like it but the majority of his repliers seem to thank him. So for now, majority wins I guess...

I said I like Hondas and they are cool cars, but if the SOLE INTENT of a honda is to make it fast there are better cars to build up which will give a better return on the money. I like civics, I like driving my friends, but if all I wanted was a autox beast I would not choose a civic. Hondas are cool cars to mod and are fun. And I have been going out with one girl for 19 months now, have no addiction to porn or whatever you want to say... I know you corrected yourself but I want to set the record straight too. If someone has the money to build a 10 second civic, and they succeed at building a 10 second civic. Why are they wrong in doing so? Because you think they wasted money. Thats your opinion.

the point is i can say that about almost ANY car.. i mean ESPECIALY in drag racing.. when you talk about autox the field opens up a little....... but all i was saying is this.. "honda Style" no one MAKES you come here.. no one MAKES him come here.. if you dont like it leave.. its that simple...im my mind if you want to go fast in a straight line there is ONE car MAYBE two to get.. if you want fastest for cheap.. and as far as if you are the fastest blah blah.. that implys that ALL hondas are slow.. well MOST ARE.. but not all..but 12's are not slow.. ESPECIALY for a street car... there are not a whole lot of cars that bost 12s for that much cheaper (import at least)

Actually, i do have quite the clue. My neighbor has an 89 cobra (we talk car tech a lot). His car is modded to the teath and he just swapped out his entire motor for one he rebuilt (pistons, rods, cam, p&p, heads, rockers, ect.) His car runs low 12's/high 11's - and he is ALWAYS out in his yard fixing something stupid like snaped belts, headlights burning out, replacing ignitions, stuff like that. He admits to me that his car is fast, fun, trendy (much like my civic) and a P.O.S.

It all sounds to me like you have a small cock complex. Driving around in a civic that you've wasted money trying to make as fast as a decent car. Hell man if that’s what you want to do with your time that’s fine by the rest of us. But just because your friend dropped a h22 into a civic hatch doesn't mean its a cool car. It means he has more money/time on his hands then brains. Civics are eco boxes, stop pretending like they are anything but. Yes your friend might run some nice times in that car, but it still looks like a POS civic. I know not everyone was blessed with taste and so I let it slide with you and your friend. I admit the Highlaner is basically a camry wagon on steroids, but hey it was fun. I did not buy it to make it fast, I bought it to haul friends and duck hunt, and yes with the mud tires it is a beast offroad. Anyways I didn't want mud tires on it year-round so I bought some summer tires and summer rims and the intake/exhaust wasn't really that expensive. I didn't try to make it the fastest ever, just tried to make it not quite as slow as I knew I would be selling it soon and don't like driving slowazz cars.

As for some people on here, I must ask the question. WHY does everything turn into a personal soap opera? This is HSTuners, a car message board dealing primarily with hondas. Soooo, lets talk about cars instead of who is a good person and why someone hates someone else, that is so lame, and I beg those parties to stop with the childishness. You are a pretty big ricer huh (since you think its SO easy to run 11's - just hit the NNNAAAAWWWSSS huh?) When i said modded to the teath, i should also have mentioned that the car has street radials and a full sound system. And by the way, his setup is all NA so far and his car would destroy most cars on the street - especially your friends h22 civic (with 2 times as much $$ into the motor as this stang.)

unsure as to why it got to why I came here and everything all i said is i don't like your buddy eric....right now i'm driving my dad's car a 91 Talon TSI, I have no money to buy a car and my '00 civic EX was totalled out....i love coming to HS...for these talks and this and that and i've met great people and enjoy the social aspect of it....i never implied all honda's are slow and if you took it the wrong way...i'm frankly sorry...but actually...most honda's are slow...i bought my civic cause i knew it'd be reliable and i wanted to see what i could do w/ it...never thought about fast until i started reading everything i have....then i realized my civic has 112 HP...and for 4 K i could get 170 HP....then it was totalled out and it was the best thing that could have ever happened to me and my wallet....can't wait for the next ignorant flame i recieve
