My car...I miss it...pics

its sitting in my g/f's neighbors garage. Just worked on it somemore yesterday. The weather is finally nice enough to begin working again. As you can see from the pics we removed the rear trailing arms, and are in the process of fixing up the teg arms. Stuff for that is expensive! I've already dropped about $500 on brake parts, and I've still got about 200 more to go!
I've finally gotten ss brake lines, 4040 prop valve, brake booster, and master cylinder. now i need new calipers, rotors, and pads, and I'm still considering prothane bushings for the upper and lower control arms, compensator arm, and trailing arm (EXPENSIVE)

so anyway, thats the update. i had pictures so I'd figured I'd share.

yep, my plan is basically restoration of the civic. The motor has a laundry list of problems, clutch is gone, brakes are obviously gone, suspension sucks, steering rack is screwed up, and now I've got a bad electrical connection somewhere. Basically the only things that aren't going to get replaced: alternator, radiator, and the front rotors and pads. everything else is going. I'm looking at b18a's for my motor build. first I've got to recover from this brake fiasco.

and, what do you mean its a waste of $? That's what cars are! A blackhole for income.

Wahoo electrical gremlins! My accord has this little annoying thing where after I start the car, I have to jiggle the keys to get my stereo to work, and I'm far too lazy to start tearing apart my ignition to fix a loose wire. heh.

As for having your car outta commision, I know how bad that sucks. I blew the motor in my 88 camaro and I'm in the process of building a 400 smallblock for it, piece by piece. I live alone, and work on average about 35 hours a week at my crappy retail job, so money is tight. I usually get to buy one part for the motor a month. This month, I don't get to buy anything, cuz I'm saving up to get the heads worked. After that the motor should be done. :-D Just gotta do the install ...... which I am NOT looking forward to in ANY way. :(

yep! I know how thats going to go. once I buy anything, I need to recover financially, and just the sheer amount of parts that I'm going to need is going to force me to buy one component a month. Plus the jacked up prices of honda parts won't help either.

and krwheeler, ...wtf? Somebody ran their car with sugar in the tank? what, was she a ricer that read online that sugar gives you 15 hp to the wheels? there must be a story here....
