Its alive...finally

Well after 6 months of hard work my car is done and has taken its first voyage on the street (so what if i dont have 4-ways, turn signals, or a state inspection). Anyways i only havve about 6 miles on it so i gave it about 4 psi in 2nd and it ripped the tires loose all the way to 6k (dont want to rev it too high yet). I am damn impressed with the car and it should run hard. Heres all the work that i did on the new motor. Ill be posting some pics in the next few days.

GE sleeved 85mm o-ringed LS block 2022 cc's
balanced and polished LS crank
Crower rods
JE 9.8:1 pistons
stock Honda bearings
1mm oversized Ferrea valves
bronze valve guides
race only port job
Crower ti retainers
Crower dual valve springs

Yeah its pretty cool. I can break the tires loose through 1st and second at only 3 psi. The car is totally gutted except for the dash shell. I expect the car to do 10s without too much difficulty because the of the fact i was able to do mid 11s with half of this amount of work and a fairly stock block. The pics probably wont be up tonight i have to get my lazy ass up and get the film developed.

Yeah its for the street. All i have to do now is hook up the nitrous and get it inspected. Ive been driving it around for a while but sooner or later im going to get caught. Oh yeah i have to get a new turbo now too. I blew it up today but i can get a new one in a week or so. Hopefuly it will be covered under some sort of warrenty, it only has 138 miles on it.

Thats what sponsers are for. Any ways what happened was i shattered the oil pump gear and obviously it lost oil pressure and F'ed everything up. Well ill have the pics up soon. I had spend the last 2 weeks getting the motor back together. Its running again and i have 349 miles on it now. Ill get the pics sooner or later.

im trying man. Every time i fix something there is something else that happens the following day. I cant boost over 6 psi right now and i cant figure out why. i was in the middle of a dyno pull and the shit just stopped boosting high. It went down to its base setting of 6 psi. I even drove around with no line going to the wastegate and can only get 10 psi out of it. I have a major leak somewhere.

I need the gearing with the trap speeds i will be obtaining. Last year on an all but stock bottomm end i was coming through the traps at 127 mph at 8K with 24.5 inch slicks. I really dont want to rev the motor over 8500.
