Racing with an Auto

So I've got an AT 92 Civic LX... and I've done a few things such as AEM intake, exhaust, but what I want to know is what the best method for racing would be. Granted I'm not going to win too many races, but I'd like to stay next to my friend's 96 Civic DX (with similar mods) which is a manual.

I've heard anything from straight out floor it all the way to start in neutral and rev it up to X RPM and then drop it into drive while flooring it, etc. Anyway what's the method that yields the best results without f$#king up the car?

Peace.

unless you want broken motormounts. installing an additional medium sized tranny coolr will help quite a bit but not to the extent a manual will do.

Yeah I know, I'm done with mods now. I wouldn't put NOS on an AT.

because in general honda automatic trasmisions are extremely ass... they are not meant to keep the car in the powerband nor are they intended to handle ANY real power...

they are just completely lacking
