car start problems

hey guys, I'm in need of a little help. I have a 94 Teg. Normally, my car, and I think for any car, it only takes about 3-5 of those "et et et et et" sounds/shakes for the car engine to start. As of late, my Integra needs 8-12 for the engine to start. Also, on hot days, after I have just started the engine, it'll die out if it stays in idle too long.

Anyone knows what's going on? Could it be my battery or spark plug? Please help me out, thanks.
