Top speed?
I've had my 6th gen for almost two years and I've already had my tranny replaced. At about 17k miles, a trans-axle seal busted. At about 38k it happened again. The dealer just opted to completely repalce the tranny under warranty. My new tranny feels better, but I've noticed that my top speed is down. Although I never took it to the limit before, I can't seem to get past 110mph with the new tranny. The car just stays at the same rpm and doesn't cut out, just keeps the same speed. I've been at least 115 before, so I know something is up. Is it the new tranny? Can it be something else? How can I regain what I hadd before?

I heard 6th gens were governed to 120mph. I've never went that high before my tranny swap, but now I can't get past 110mph

The majority of Accords seem to be limited at 118ish, but mines not... and many others have gone faster than that.

Umm... if you're really drag limited at 110 (that's too low), just some mods to give your car more hp will help.

If you wanna help out your car at the high speeds, consider aerodynamics as your friend. A lower car will usually have less drag. Offensibly ridiculous wings will cause more drag with no benefit. Some body kits will provide better-than-stock drag, others will provide worse.
Since at those speeds you'll be in the higher end of your rev range, freer flowing components will probably help you out (I/H/E, maybe high flow cat). But if it's due to the tranny/computer....then I'm not so sure any of this will make a difference. Oh, and don't forget to kick out your 300 lb. girlfriend. b |

not sure 4 things of nitrous would be possible, the most crazy thing i've seen was a 3 stage nitrous system, so i highly doubt he has 4, but if he does, send me pics of it
