I was looking for a cheaper set of coilovers and I found these.I heard that they were similar to Ground Control. I have to get a alignment anyways so what the hell why not lower the car. Also if I lower between 1.5 and 1.7 all way around will I have to have a camber kit. I need a yes or no answer please. I plan on getting KYB adjustables on down the road.

i'm not sure about this but...i heard that if you lower your car more than 1.5 inches then you might need a camber kit

Not might. You will need a camber kit. Besides. Even if ya didn't plan to go that low. U can pick up a camber kit for 30-40 bux. Lot cheaper then constantly replacing unevenly worn tires.

They are similar to Ground Controls in the fact that they are both coilover sleeves. That's where the similarities end I'm sure.

Go with GC if you want quality.

I wouldnt trust those no name brand stuff on ebay...dont kno anyone who bought em' but i wouldnt trust em'...got my eibach sportlines for okay price on ebay..no regrets...

so anything lower than 1.5 then you need a camber kit? Also what kind of camber kit can I get for $30-40? Will I need one for the front and back?

nvm about the 30-40 bux. It is cheaper onh my car rather yours. Mine just needs a coupe bolts. Urs need some funky arms.

But here's the cheapest I've found. As for quality. I never heard of em.

Its possible to lower your car more then that and be fine. I know some peeps that went 1.8 and they were on spec. Not all cars are the same. Chances are you will probably need one, but you never know.

I have my car dropped with 1.5" srpings and tokcio blue shocks and I need a camber kit you can see the tires /-\ doing that. Im going to do the washer rear camber trick this week it works well.

How hard is it to install the camber kit? I know how to install the coilovers but I don't know anything about a camber kit.

Ok I think I'm gonna do the washer method for the rear. I can do that one. Do I have to get an alignment everytime I raise or lower the car? Also is that 2 washers per bolt on the rear on each side?

I gota set of coilovers off of ebay from a seller by the name of coilovers do a search he is always on there selling em. They are pretty decent for the price. I've had skunk2, Ground control, blah blah you name it they all ride hard I guess that's just the price you pay forlookin cool. I've had them on my del sol for 6 months w/o a problem. I'm going to get a set for my 4 door also. The kit is pretty high quality and comes with a some nice stuff i.e. metal spring perches for the top of the spring, rubber sleeve spacers to keep the sleeve from clanking against the strut, rubber isolaters for the top and bottom of the spring. All in all a pretty nice set I think I paid like 80.00 bucks or so I can't remeber though.

I would suggest getting a front camber kit also and that rear washer trick is a great money saver. How are you suposed to go fast with only 2 inches of rubber touching the road?

I got a quote on just a front camber kit installed yesterday and they said $421

They are pretty high on stuff though. is the one mention above any good? Anyone know?

i don't know anything about the other camber kit but ingalls is the best one i know of although its more expensive, skunk2 is ok but not all that i've heard is positive

I use Arospeed coil overs...not the best brand i know...but i bought them for 150$ brand new. They have been on my car for about 14k miles with stock struts and shocks. Not one problem at all with them. I didnt do a big drop so i didnt need a camber kit. I didnt want to slam it, just little drop for little better handling and a nice look.

If i have the money i would go with Koni's adjustable, but my wallet is alittle light after all the other mods to my car.
