Tailights

I wanna get new tails because i don't like the orange on mine. I'm thinking of either getting the 99-00 or the euro carbons with the smoked lens. What do you guys think? Tahnx

Soundspeed, I'm going to be doing the same thing to my 98 here soon. I hate the yellow on red look. Speaking of which, do you guys think that this is a relatively easy thing to do? And where can I get them for less than Honda wants?

i would stick with theones honda sells for the red clears. they are not leak proof, but the aftermarket ones are really leaking.

Ther're easy to change, but hard to find. I'm gunna check with the wreckers, and see if the shop I go to knows if any of their customers might have a set. Too much money from the dealership.

I kind of like the Retro 3d tail lights, but have no idea if they leak or not.

I had a friend of mine get some of those. The look sweet on his car, though he has a bunch of cash put into it. I just dont have tons of money to spend on my car... money is always the problem isnt it. Oh well.

its just the newest generation altezza.....which means it will be over-done and stupid in a few months

And almost all/any aftermarket light will leak...

I changed my stock clusters for the Lexus style. I know it may not be the most popular choice for the USA market, but it suits European tastes. I couldn't buy any in the UK so I bought some online from a company in California. I think they were about $25 with $35 shipping. (international). Believe me that's cheap compared to UK prices. It's pretty wet here and they haven't leaked so far....

you can TRY to prevent them by resealing w/ silicone all around the lens and base but it wont work for long...theyre just made like shit

actually some are made quite well, not all will leak (if you get lucky) but there is also this polyurethane sealer you can buy that works better than silicon IMO, but it is normally black and WILL NOT come off your hands unless you enjoy pouring gasoline on you hands and lots of scrubbing .
