Hey guy,
i m happy to join the honda club after owning a toyota celica for 2 years. i had a 97 Celica GT hatch Back with a turbo charged engine and alot of mods but i sold tht 3 days back. Now i own a 98 Civic EX....it is manual....i got it from a auction in Atlanta as my uncle is a dealer. i m happy to be a owner of this car.

Things i m gonna do this car in few days:

Tein suspension kit
17x7.5" Rims and 205/40...tires
injen Short ram intake
Apexi GT cat-back exhaust
DC 4-2-1 Headers
CF evo8 style hood and CF trunk lid.
CF headllights and taillights.
Gonna paint the interior white....the car is green.

After doing all this i will get:

Cam gears
Valve springs
Pulley Kit
Cam shaft

I just want all of ur ideas for my car.

Some stuff abut me:
I m 18, i live in Cary, NC USA, i m going to a college here....and u will know me better after u meet me.

nice celica, got any pics of your civic?

are you sure you want to go with 17" rims? i mean they can look cool with low pro tires but IMO they look akward. I got 16's on my civic after deciding agianst 17's and now i wish i would have stuck with 15's. but i would say 16's are a good compromise but it's all up to you.

hate to say it but some of your planned mods are going to make the car slower and some wont do anything.

wheels for 1 thing wil make you slower
pulleys are useless and underdrive units are bad on hondas
What the hell is an evo style trunk lid?
Cam GEAR (just 1) and HEADER (just 1)
Aftermarket headlights and taillights are crap and will leak like a sunken ship (stick w/ oem)

In my opinion, the sohc civic is pointless to mod, unless you go w/ turbo or n2o.
But thats just my opinion. Check out the civic section.
(Read up and search before posting something please...lots of topics are repeated there...)

why would you sell that celica to get a civic? i would have kept that celica. i dont care how much i love honda i would never have sold that car.

my bad...lol i havent sold it yet...first bad thing abut it was tht it was a automatic...and i had it turbo charged....!!! it was not bad i dynoed it and it was running 250hp at 9 psi. but see it was automatic.

My friend all he does for living is working on cars..he has his own garage with all the tools u need...he did worked on the same civic EX with all those parts and guess wht he dynoed his car and he was running 160 hp....and in my veiw tht isnt bad at all with those upgrades. i can do this first and then go with a turbo later on.

i will ask him abut the underdrive pulleykit. thanxs for letting me know!!!
