Greddy EVO installation question

I ordered my Greddy EVO and it should be coming soon, but I found a picture on the internet and it showed 2 "hangers"(its circled on the picture) on the first pipe (right after the cat converter) so i looked on my car to put WD-40 and i only saw 1 "hanger" on my car

...is that normal? do i only use one of the hanger on the pipe? i have a 99 ex

I only have one hanger on the car and 2 hangers on the exhaust too...nothing to worry about, 1 is enough

if youre really worried about it, take it to a shop and have them weld on another hanger

thanks! um...another question..the connection right after the cat-converter has 3 bolts, i know one is on the top near the heatshield, how did you get to it to unscrew? the bolts are really messed up and rusted also...did you remove the heatshield first? from the looks of it, it looks like its gonna take some work to remove..

yeah i removed the shield...but mine was rusted on solid...totally fused all the way though (i removed it from the header and started to cut it w/ a disc...no way was it coming off), so I had to buy a new cat as well...bought an "oem style" one for $200 and its already rattling like crazy...if you have to get a new cat, get an actual honda one

you torch those nuts and you'd be suprised how easy they come off.. just get them glowing... as far as getting to the top nut...

either use 2 long extensions so you can get a bit more of an angle on it or if you have a universal joint it's WAY easy...

My car has 155k and I've gotten all three bolts off and back on 2-3 times (everytime they needed to be torched).

ok what u need to do to get that bolt off is... go to the local hardwhare store and get a torch.. nothing fancy it should be like 15-20$, and if u can dont get propane get mapp gas.. it burns soo much hotter! but if all thay have is pane get it.. carefully light it, and heat the bolt, and with a large hammer hit it ralllllly hard from the side.. that should snap it right off.. if space is tight get a long screw driver and put the pointy end on the blolt and hit it like that.. if that doesnt work. which i will be verry surprised if it doesnt.. get a hack saw and take the handle off so its just the blade, and put a LOT of motor oil on it (that redeces friction when u r cutting it).. and basicly cut it off.. ur arm will probably be numb when ur done.. but hey u will bw done! good luck..
