Yo, sup everyone.. i need to know the low down on some simple mods that aren't going to cost me my arm and leg to get, i have a iceman RS cold air intake and splitfire plugs and new wires im almost right at 90,000 on my 96 accord about to get the timing belt canged and the clutch changed out oh i also have AEM brakes, but i need something under the hood that wil draw more acceleration really no so much top end speed. oh and ..anyone know if 96's are governed? seems i can't get over 100mph (it wants to but beign held back it fels like)

hmmmm

only way to get more power , get head done bigger cams. or super or turbo/engine swap . headers and exhaust really dont improve power gains if your engine hasnt be moded. i have 80,000 miles on my 95 accord and im going to run that one into the ground before i swap an engine unless i see one come my way at a good price. far as cant get past 100 mphs . it will and should with ease. ive gotten up to 120 125mph and thats in a short piece of straight road on a windey road.it was only at 3,600 rpms.and this is a stupid automatic.

Your car will do over 100 easily if it isn't having problems. Some models have governors @ 118 mph, but not 100 AFAIK.

I have a 96 EX accord and I've had no problem hitting approximatly 120 after that it stops accerlerating. are all EX accords VTEC if not then maybe that's the reason
a lightened flywheel will let you get those rpm's up quicker or if you wanna just save a few thousand get a h22 swap and/or turbo

i don't think there is a cheap way to get power out of the f22 unless you wanna dish out the big bux, like500+ for a nitrous setup, or almost a grand for a cam.

It could be the tires that your using!
When I was in Germany I used to run several different types of tires and trust me tires can make a difference. On one set of tires my 323i could not go over 200Kph (124mph) but yet with uniroyals or Hankooks I was running 240Kph (149mph)
