Its a 1999 non-SH with 55,500miles w/ near mint interior/exterior. I wanted something newer with a little more pep, and of course reliability was key as was price.

i'm gonna either sell my civic or my wife's cavalier, depending on whether or not i can get her to learn standard.

hondaman:

thanks everyone, i always used to hear "when my vtec kicks in blah, blah" i always thought it was a gross exaggeration, but damn you really do feel it.

most likely she'll be learning standard cause that damn cavalier has been nothing but trouble and its only a '99.

i keep telling myself i'm not going to do anything to the car, then i start to think well some koni's would be nice and a quaife/aftermarket clutch would be cool then all of a sudden i'm thinking i/h/e, cams, etc.

Yeah H series VTEC engagement isn't quite as smooth or quiet as B series...but it sure does kick ass..and you can feel it a bit.

Dude...you know you can't escape! Even if you tell yourself "NO...just some shocks..." You'll buy a header or intake. And then why stop there?
You know its going to happen anyways...just give in!

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!

the thing is though, is that i regret most of the stuff i did with the civic so it makes me not want to do anything to the lude. then again mods on the prelude would probably actually make the car pretty quick, where as on the civic it made it slightly faster and alot louder.

Im slowly making my car quiet again.
By putting the stock airbox on the sri arm I lost some noise. When I (eventually) put the super turbo on I'll lose some more.
If anything....add some cams!

yeah cams would be cool will they jack up the idle? the regular lobes should be pretty mild but still, i absolutly hate a jacked up idle like what my damn civic has 50% of the time. i need to hit the junkyard and get a stock i/h/e for that thing.

Well designed cams shouldn't screw with your idle. They'll probably change it a little, like give it a little bit more of a lope, but nothing you couldn't live with. Especially if the grinds are more mild.
