Swaping DOHC head into a SOHC 96 EX

im pretty experinced with engines, and was wondering if anyone has tried to mate a DOHC head onto the stock 96 EX short block, and if so how much power was made., oh yeah, one last thing, what was the donor head? and what all was needed, thanks,

Hmmmm... I thought of doing that with my first Civic... SOHC block with a B16A Head. Took the engine out at did a comparo, didn't look like it would sit unfortuntely

i don't know about ex's but isn't it a SOHC ? you can hardly mate a SOHC block to a DOHC head. the block needs to be a bit wider. However you can get a custom head done to the block and accomodate the 2 cams.
