User Titles
Here's another portion where you get to help mold the site. It's time to come up with some user titles/requirements. I could whip this together, but it's more fun to get your input
Give me some ideas regarding: How many levels Level Names Requirements For example: Rookie (Min 0 posts) Semi-Pro (Min 500 posts) Professional (Min 1000 posts) I know you are a creative bunch out there...let's hear what you've got |

Hmm... I'll have to think about it, but here's a rough idea on the levels.
0 500 (or 250?) 1000 2000 5000 10000 (whoa) Sound about right? Or maybe have more lower levels for those who don't post as much? 0, 100, 250, 1000... |

For User levels I would do this (like everyone else, I have to think about the titles - these are just generic)
Level I: newbies Level II: min 50 posts (incentive to post to get out of dreaded newbie stage) Level III: min 500 posts Level IV: min 1000 posts Level V: min 2000 posts Those are my level breakdowns... I'll see what titles I can come up with. What do you guys think about the requirements? I think it is a good idea to have an incentive to get out of newbie stage at a relatively low number... but what do I know... |

that's pretty good gator....we should squeeze it a little bit like this
0-49=level I 50-99=level II 100-299=level III 300-699=level IV 700-999=level V 1000-1499=pro? 1500-1999=rocket scientist? 2000 and above........????? something like that. we should come up with "name" level after a thousand posts...... |

Honestly, I would not do a post count or user titles that are dependant on them. I have seen that lead to pointless whoring on other boards. If you wish to do titles, you should let us pick custom ones.

I think we are already allowd to pick custom ones, just click in user cp, options.
2000 posts as the final ultimate title? Most people on sho and ha are waaaay past that number.. in the 5's to 7's.. |

I think I've got it! I have a feeling you'll like this one:
Parked: under 50 posts 1st Gear: min 200 posts 2nd Gear: min 500 posts 3rd Gear: min 700 posts 4th Gear: min 1000 posts 5th Gear: min 2000 posts Turbo Charged: min 3000 posts Custom Titles after 5000 posts Well??? What do you think? |

I like Fugitive's idea about the 5000+ and you get a custom title. Why does it have to be turbocharged? I see a little bias towards turbos.....
Then again Like Big James said, it could lead to whoring.

The last one is the best. Don't make it like 1-500 to get out of the rookie stage. That will take forever.

I like the 1st Gear - - - idea and has been swiftly implemented.
Great suggestion! Come on, tell me it's not cool to be a part of designing a brand spanking new site Thanks for the input! |

I'm pretty close to that (and changed last to Boosted).
Here's the set-up: Parked (Minimum Posts: 0) 1st Gear (Minimum Posts: 25) 2nd Gear (Minimum Posts: 100) 3rd Gear (Minimum Posts: 300) 4th Gear (Minimum Posts: 600) 5th Gear (Minimum Posts: 1000) 6th Gear (Minimum Posts: 1500) Boosted (Minimum Posts: 2000) Custom titles after 3000 posts... The increments seem to make decent sense this way. |

Looks good. Even though us nitrous people(if there are any on this board aside from Big James) are gonna have to deal with being called "Boosted". j/k Go for it.

Consider that greater incentive to get to the 3000 post mark.

I like the idea. I cant see nothing wrong with having boosted as a name or under you hood. Sounds good to me

I wish I had seen this earlier! It's probably too lat enow, but, how about going off of Honda trim levels?
0-24- DX 25-99- EX 100-249- RS 250-499- LS 500-999- Si 1000-1499- GSR 1500-1999- Type-S 2000-2499- Type-R 2500+ Custom The only thing is it might offend some DX owners, but I like it! |

For us mods it really don't matter but we have to take in account everyone else. Having them labeled as a dx would really piss me off. I think that it is fine the way it is.

I hope noone takes acception to this. THere is nothing wrong with dx's but when you buy a higher trim model then you don't want to be called something thats lower than you actually are. I just wanted to explain myself.
