1998 Civic vs. 2003 Mustang GT

Went to the track last weekend and lit up a 2003 mustang GT
He talked a good game, but his car couldnt hang... he ran a 17 sec 1/4
Raced him again on the way home, I hit 135 and never saw him again.

A. 17's are easily done by stock toyota corrollas, and last time i checked a mustang gt is a little more 1/4 mile worthy than the above mentioned, meaning he let off at some point cause the worst of drivers can minimum accomplish 16's

B. 135 mph? you are ****ing crazy races usually are over before then, but good kill, the high revving hp of the type r motor and boltons outmatches the sohc gt motors on the top end by far..

he talked a good game, LOL somehow i doubt it. i really doubt someone who doesnt know how to operate a motor vehicle in the forward motion would willingly talk shit.

Hahahaha, this is such a joke. He couldn't run a 17 if he wanted to. Maybe he let off due to Ford quality issues? If someone lets off, it's not a real race. Chances are that pic isn't even of your motor. With the way you wrote this, it looks like you're about 16, can't change your own oil, think anything with a big red R logo on it rules, and that Fords suck, and you probably have never ridden in a fast car in your entire life. You are a ricer. You are the reason people hate on sport compacts. People like you **** it up for the few enthusiasts on the road. Congratualtions. You are a dipshit.

Edit: Hmm, maybe those special wires and grounds let you take the win with an astonishing 16.8 @ 82 mph? Just a guess. Aftermarket grounds and strut bars is where it's AT kid!

check his info b-day February 11, 1977.

Stop your bitching, maybe the ford started in 2nd, and skipped 4th who knows what happened. And of all people YOU have no clue... so keep it on the low

Im wondering- why would you need the AEM fuel system? The stock would be plenty for the setup you got there...

I know people who can't drive and still talk shit. Some people are just naturally cocky.

Aftermarket ground straps? Where? I see the braided fuel lines but no straps??

Why not upgrade the fuel system? Fuel makes power. Besides if you're swapping the engine, you might as well pop all the goodies on while you're at it.

fuel makes power in the right proportions, if you throw 30lb injectors on a stock mustang you are hurting it, or in you throw like 550cc injectors on anything other than a 10 second supra, lol. a regulator can only do so much to help the flow.

i wouldnt throw bigger injectors on a stock B18c5 but thats just me (of course, thats why i dont drive a honda cause i would know something about it, lol )

p.s. and dont mind aj hes just doing what he does best, trolling and calling bs

Oh and btw, my boy ran low 16's high 15's in his 1986 gt with the same mods i have SHIFTING AT 4,000 RPMS because the clutch was so shot....

sorry to break it to you but the guy wasnt trying, cause to be over a second off a car this slow he had to be out of the throttle at some point, and thats not a run at all.

He was talking about the fuel rail & regulator. I can't see the injectors from that pic so I can't make any assumptions on that.

He has an Integra Type R motor in a civic, its probably not all that bad of an idea to upgrade the fuel system a little. Plus he can tune it out for optical performance.

Hey SVT! How do you like the WRX? Does the blow off valve sound cool? I want to see that thing, I got spring break March 8, (ps run it englishtown that day, import vs domestic, join the dark side's team). My friend has a new WRX as well, stock, he got all options, he's loaded.

hey.. u still work at stop and shop?... i'm sure i'll see you soon if you do.. its 2 seconds from my house...
yea.. it's not fast. not slow (faster than a honda lol). but it is practical. sick handling. you know hattertown road? i was goin 70mph on it... 50 around turns.... speed limit : 25...
i was able to hit 80 with the cobra on that road tho... like yea i can out handle a cobra... but as soon as there is one bit of straight away it would blow past the wrx like its standing still. 0-60 in 5.4 my ass. more like 6.4. the blow off valve sounds cool. but i do like the car... im gonna try and not care about racing and being the "fastest" ... i just want a normal car that i can drive everyday that is reliable and fun.

Yeah excellent daily driver choice. We took turns like mad in my friends WRX too, very impressive. They DO make a staged upgrade kit for decent horsepower amounts, but a ****in chip is $1000, er, only $999 I don't work at stop n shop, right now I'm in MA, near boston, I go to Bentley college.............Might be transferring to Uconn next yr tho, so I can be closer to home and come back for some racing action! I'll be around March 8, for 1 week. I want to see that car. Go to Etown with me and Dan! If gold bomb runs, I will take it there, but not to race I don't think :(

Hmm 17's, just about anything can pull that off. I think it was driver error, not to say you wouldn't of won just saying 17's just aint normal.

And 135? I think he just didn't want to chase you, I sure as hell wouldn't. Not worth the crash or the ticket.

Good kill

I got a question, what ECU are you using on that thing.I'm guessing the stock one, since you really haven't invested in any real power upgrades. What good is a new valve train without the cams to open it?Why would you waste money on a fuel system you have no use for?,the stock system is plenty to about 200whp and you aren't putting anywhere close to that with your nology wires and intake.I hope your not using the stock ECU since if it is a JDM,it's limit is 112mph.

Actually it is a Skunk 2 ECU and it has no speed limiter

Skunk 2 valve train and stage 2 cams... i guess thats not a real power upgrade....

Actually the car dynos over 200whp, 205 before stage 2 cams
and it is being prepped for turbo, hence the need for more fuel.

do your homework!

I find it funny how quickly everyone was trying to tear into this guy.

Gotta give the guy a chance to explain before you go ripping into him.
