so i was wondering... i just hooked my fan back up and i wanted to know, is it supposed to come at a certain temperature or as soon as i turn the key?

oh, so i guess my fan isn't turning on
my radiator is pumping fluid but the fan aint doing anything... anyone have a clue, i have 2 plugs plugged up on it, is there sumthing i'm missing?!?!

Fuse? Bad sensors? Wiring backwards?

or your engine is too cool for the fans to start

but wouldn't they start when the radiator starts flowing?

nope. they should start when the coolant tempp is at 196 for the rad fan and 212 for the condenser fan. try pushin in the ac button and they should start

fan kicks on at certain temp
You can test the fan's fuses, wirings, etc to see if its connected right, or test the fan itself by hardwiring it to the battery for a test (use spade clips)
Or, just drive around for awhile, let the car heat up, drive home, let it run and listen for the fan to come on.

After I did my rad upgrade my fan didnt come on and I thought something was wrong (relay, fuse, wires, blahblah). Turned out it was just more efficient and the fan didnt have to come on yet. It could be that its just cold enough outside.
You are driving a teg now, and its rad is 2x the size as the civic one you had before. That could be all that it is.

good point... thanx for giving me an excuse to drive it today :-)
since i dont have the ac compressor anymore, could i just hook that fan up to the battery and make a switch to turn it on and off? it sounds feasable...

you could
but you could also wire it through the other rad fan so they come on at the same time.
