There are alot of variables that will factor in, but in a word, yes you *should* be able to beat Si's and GS-R's. Si's I really don't waste much time on anymore, GS-R's make for a better race.. well not really, but I'd like to think so I've gotta find an ITR to try on for size

On 5.5psi, an otherwise stock EX should see about 140whp. Intercooled and with a larger exahust, DP and/or TP you can see over 155-160whp easy at just 5.5psi. For comparison, the B16A2 puts out about 134whp, the B18C1 about 145whp.

Hey whats UP. XBiRd. My car is totally stock except for the things i have listed on my sig. HOwever, i boost 7 lbs instead of 5.5lbs. I didn't adjust anything but after i got my exhaust and tood my cat off my boost gauge reads half bar which is 7lbs. I raced my friends SI and Gsr and i smoked em. I usually take em out in third gear. My rims are 16's. ANd right now my head gasket is blown and my clutch is slippin liKe its on iCe. But i still can beat em. if you have any other questions just let me know. Peace.....

any suggestions on what next mod i should get?? coz i want to push up to 6 or 7 psi.... intercooler?? clutch?? after these stuff, i want to push up to 8 or 9 psi... anything suggestions on what to upgrade?? let me know

DP= Downpipe
TP= Testpipe

Upgrade to a larger DP (2.5")
Remove the stock cat and replace with a TP (2.5")
Add a mandrel bent 3" catback witha non-restriced muffler

You'll now see gains of 15whp++ depending on what you're boosting.

I got 138.1 whp with my kit.

All I had done was the Greddy turbo at 5.5 psi, DC Sports catback exhaust, and regapped stock spark plugs.

I have beaten Si's at the track that had intake headers and exhaust.

But now I can boost 8 psi, intercooled and with a new clutch. I will let you guys know when I go to the track again.

wait, I think that I can do the math:

1 bar = 14.7 psi so...
.68 bar = ?

it's a simple proportion soo

1 x ? = 14.7 x .68

divide over the 1 and:

? = 9.996

your pushing 10 pounds!! you should easily hit low 14's if not 13's. I ran 15.2 with 5.5 psi non-intercooled. What do you have done internally and what do you have for engine management?

thanks, and good luck,

aj

Bone stock I already ran a 15.5 on 3psi, so I'm being conservative when I say i'm looking for low 14's (in reality, I'd like to see a 13.8-13.9) that way it'll be easier on me if I don't get what I want..

Hey VTC_CiVic how much lbs are you planning to boost to get 13.8-13.9????? I think we have a similar setup. It would be great if i can go that fast. I think im runnin in the high 14's right now boosting 7lbs. But i don't have an intercooler and my clutch is slippin like crazy.
