A problem to build my D16Z6 Turbo

Hello i have big problem to build my motor.
I buy eagle rods to my D16Z6 but the number on the rod is 5394A i think rods is wrong???Can you tell is this correct number for my motor with specs
Ohhh and i buy pistons nippon racing with low comp. 8,8:1 but pistons doesn't fit to rods becouse the rod is bigger to the end (where rings in), with one or two mm.I think pistons are made to stock rods. And one more question how much hp i can hold stock rods with these pistons?
Please tell me what can i do in my example. THANKS

yeah so i'm not sure how you did that, but you obviously ordered wrong parts or something.

And don't even think of using those pistons with stock rods. Stock rods can hold about 200HP, but anything over that is a gamble. I believe they usually fail around 230. Althoguh you can use rods from LS motors, and i believe there's a write up in the how-to section.

First off, like what JDM stated above, do NOT use aftermarket pistons on stock rods. That is just non-sense. D-series rods are very skinny. It is pointless to upgrade the pistons and leave the rods stock. Which is the very reason why the aftermarket pistons are not fitting on the stock rods. I suggest that you call the place you bought the pistons from and ask to get the aftermarket rods that will fit to those pistons.

Why did you get such a low compression pistons? I think that you should've stayed around 9.1-9.5:1 compression. If you were trying to make torque to compromise your choice of those low compression pistons, then you are sadly mistaken. The stroke on D-series motors are long, which will already give you the torque that you might be wanting.

Not trying to flame you man. Just stating some of your options and solutions. Goodluck with the project and keep us posted bro.

Pistons will fit but now rods is the problem i write to my seller about the problem. He will say something may be tommorow.
Thermal how much HP can i expect with these things:
Pistons to 8,8:1 or 8,5with low gasket ( i know it is stupid low compr. but i will put more pressure around 1.0- 1,5 bar ) with Eagle rods, turbo is t3 42.48 and 440cc injectors. may be 200?? or more ...
P.S I want around 250 whp

I am not boosted yet but finally i buy other turbo kit not t3. See on ebay 8067238874 part numberis it good? now i want to buy SRP pistons with 9:0.1 and sell the Nippon pistons The Eagle h beam is correct
This week comes turbo and i will put finally ot stock motor to see how it is ) i would like to run it on 3-5psi for now but i am afraid to blow motor
What you suggest me to do to run it safely?

More boost does not necessarily mean more power. With low compression pistons plus thicker head gasket, you will end even lower than 8.5:1. If you do this, that tiny 1.6 SOHC will have close to no power on the low RPMs, unless you rev it up which puts more wear on your motor. Please listen to me. Do not believe the hype of low compression plus higher boost = safer. It is all about fuel management and tuning. I've build a couple of D-series turbos before. With stock Y8 compression, stock internals, Trust TD04h-19t turbo, and Hondata S200b, we made well over 220 whp at 9 psi.

My suggestion is that you keep those aftermarket pistons, use stock thickness headgasket, "mill" the head, and target a compression of 9.1 to 9.5:1. This will give you a little bit more compression and prevent the ADIABATIC stage of your turbo. T3 is small turbo. You will most likely reach it peak efficiency by 230-250 whp. If you stick with too low of a compression, this will only mean that your T3 will peak even sooner to gain a decent power band........

Bro, if you want my honest opinion, I can tell you. That is an SSautochrome kit. Enough said. Just keep an eye on the manifold and turbo. Hopefully they have made some improvements. Lastly, that kit does not have any type of fuel management. Do not go turbo unless you have a fuel management system. Goodluck....

The GReddy blue box will be fine. It will still run "rich" but better than "lean". 5 psi will be okay.

The turbo manifold on those as notorious to crack. The turbo also had issues with the compressor housing splitting in half. They use a glue to keep it together.

Hi Thermal i am turbo man from yesterday . I have problems with IC pipes and fitings but now everything is ok i am 100% with stock engine only little modification like sparks, fuel management.For the moment i drive the car on 5-6psi and for now work good so i am very pleased but i don't know what is mixture precisely and i don't have detonations or something but i hope that there will be no problems. Tomorrow i will give some pics.

looks good.... but man, you gotta spray that engine bay with something. Just put a plastic bag over the distributor, fuse box, air filter, battery terminal, ............why did you paint the intercooler GReddy?

Yeah a have greddy blue box but for now i using a chip with ready map for my setup. Car run very good for now. Turbo start in 3.5rpm and hold to the end 6-7psi.I drive it to 7000prm and dont have problems. I made for now 15,6 for 1/4mile it is good for this psi??? i think he can more but i very roll tires from one to third gear and i whant to ask you what you think how much hp can i expect for these psi?

at 6-7 psi, you are barely on the 150whp range. Dyno tune it for optimum A/F ratio and ignition timing to extract more of that boost. You can safely run 10 psi on a single cam if you DYNO tune it.

I think she is more than 150whp becouse i drag with 2 civic VTI 160whp and i beat them with very much.But i dont know What time can i made on 1 bar?What do you think?

VTi is equivalent to a USDM B16A 160 FHP (Flywheel Horsepower). On the dyno, these motors will be lucky to see 145WHP.

You cannot run 1 BAR on stock map sensor. Max is 11psi. You will blow your stock motor at 1 BAR anyway......

Everything is normal with my setup but I would like to ask-what do you think for Y.C.P pistons,Vitaras...? Do you know someone with thease pistons? becouse i am wondering what pistons to buy...my budget is small for now?

Havent heard of YCP pistons.... unless it is a typo and you meant CP pistons. Good stuff there. I have never used Suzuki Vitara pistons neither but I've heard that they work pretty well on a few members of Honda-Tech.com. Contact Boostfed on honda-tech.com to see if he can get you tose pistons. Tell him I sent you his way......

cp are the best. Although i believe there's now a few guys layin down over 400 on vitaras. Granted, i'm not sure how long the vitaras are going to last. All depends on your power goals and budget.
