injectors

i was wondering when buying injectors if they should be high or low resistance and if you think 550cc is ideal or if i should go with a different size, any help would be great. thanks

ps power goal at the moument is 550whp.

hell no. 550cc's are too small bro. Go to the RC website. They have a flow rate and a calculator. For 550whp, I recommend a minimum of 880cc's. The biggest saturated injectors you'll find is a set of 750cc RC's. Precision makes 680cc's saturated. Anything above 750cc's for Hondas will be Peak and Hold.

It's really too technical for me to even describe it. I will just create more confusion. Just remember that the P/H injectors are easier to pulse under high RPM..... I think I've read that somewhere on the RC site..... it doesnt really matter as long as you have the correct injector drivers. But if dig deeper on Honda-Tech, you will notice that more people uses P/H due to higher volume output and less complex to control. All you need is a resistor box.

YES, all P/H injectors require resistor box, unless you are using an injector driver.

peak and hold definately. They usually run cooler cause they peak open, and then lower the voltage to stay cool, but still hold the pintile open. As arnel said, you need a resistor box, or inline resistors to run them. There's a good comparison on the hondata website under the tech articles. Compares the heat build up of the two types.

a resistor box? Just get one out of an older honda. Honda used to use peak and hold injectors. I think it was on their OBD0 cars. It looks like a wird can of altoids with some wires sticking out of it. Some people also go to radioshack and wire resistors inline with the injector clips. Not sure exactly which ones you need though.

Bro, I say get 880's or 1000's. OBD0 integras, preludes, civics/crxs for the resistor box. They are cheap.... I get them for free... junkyard donates it to me
